Poetry from the soul.

Did you see the city?

Did you see the city?
Burning without flames
Did you hear the city?
Where the song of silence sings

This is the city.
Where the free are born in chains
Where the skyscrapers cry,
For the blood of their slave

This is the city.
Where Babel was rebuilt
Where self imposed Gods dine,
Feeding on a beggars crumb

This is the city.
Like Atlantis lost in time
Both behind and before,
Yet now the sinful saints fall

Did you smell the city?
Burning without smoke
Did you feel the city?
Trembling in its hope
