A Change of Wine

In they walked as boys and girls,
They carried pains, they carried scares.
They stood like lambs among the wolves
The shout of hope was whispered now.

Yet as they stood and as they sang,
They heard the ancient whisper cry
Of a love so strong that hate would die
And a peace so sweet that none would cry.

Some jumped who could not jump before,
Some laughed who could but cry before,
Some danced who lied in chains before.

Yet eternity did tremble,
When some fell in love with love itself
Who did not know this love before.

And now you men and women,
We pray you won’t lose your love,
But that the streets would glow forever bright
So stand up for hope, when none may stand.

Genocidal Blindness

Let us never not dream to our lost soul,
That the oligarch’s blood is not our own.
Pretense of two worlds, one rich; one on dole
Allows us to watch children die to bone.
As vultures we prey on your bankruptcy
To make us free of our deformity.
Darfur forgotten is catastrophe,
Burning houses show its reality.
When meet we at heaven’s gate, do try me
For my silent sins, I sold you to death.
It was too painful to see you not free
Instead chose we not to see… your last breath.
If love still be true, and walk among men
Pray we love will make blind men see. Amen.

Tides

Strange things the tides have brought
The sea has worn away your walls
It washed away your humble pride

Three generations hid for despair
Inside that armored barricade
Three generations of salty seas
Have licked upon your bloody wounds

Your fortresses now consumed
Your people bow to another throne
Your guardians are those the people hate

Now the land has spit you out
Like Israelites to Babylon
Now you lust for golden gods
The blind gods whom you see.

Yet now the tide is going back
The fields are ripe for harvest
Pardoned are the holy sinner’s sins

Now us sleepy dreamers
Its time to dream once more
Now us fiery fecal hearts
Do you feel the fire roar?

A new generation walks this land
Who knows not of the wardrobe doors
Nor of stone tables where Aslan died

Let us pray his rain would come
Your desert land will see rivers still
The greatest harvest ever seen
Will be ready for your children’s hand.

For the Sake of Love

I walk in a blind world
Its heart has become hard
Its ears are now deaf
Like a cataract, the blindness spreads.

They slaughter without conscious
Lie devoid of intention
As they bow to death
And become enslaved to its power.

They forgot how to love
Forgot kindness existed
They forgot the truth
So worshiped a lie.

And I fight
Not for Freedom
Not for Equality
Not even for you.

I fight so truth is told
And love made known
I will battle till my death
I will fight for us all.

But don’t be mistaken
These words don’t bring peace
These words make child fight father
While brother kills brother.

I’ve been told they’ll hate me
I’ve been told they’ll exalt me
But I don’t fight with a sword
My sword is the word.

Yet when they kill
For their hate of love
For their love of hate
I’ll stand and smile
For the sake of love.

Did you see the city?

Did you see the city?
Burning without flames
Did you hear the city?
Where the song of silence sings

This is the city.
Where the free are born in chains
Where the skyscrapers cry,
For the blood of their slave

This is the city.
Where Babel was rebuilt
Where self imposed Gods dine,
Feeding on a beggars crumb

This is the city.
Like Atlantis lost in time
Both behind and before,
Yet now the sinful saints fall

Did you smell the city?
Burning without smoke
Did you feel the city?
Trembling in its hope

Dear Scotland

Dhá millennium ago
The butcher diced Gaelic brains
Watching blood ooze from the veins
Still they held immunity
To not caress Rome’s vanity
A Childbirth Juxtaposed

Scotland’s freedom triumphed
Behind a wall in isolation
Devoid of foreign entanglement
Their glory was theirs alone

English Kings grew jealous
So English Kings did march
The kilts where burnt in blazes
The kilts where born in blood

For three centuries of time
The wars of blood did loll
Brave heroes died immortal
Till Scotland’s peace did fall

A Scottish King would rule both lands
Such irony be heard
Scottish knees that bowed before
Now walked on England’s throne

A birth given not in blood
A marriage given without love
Two nations then, one nation now
Seventeen O’ Seven

Welcome to this noble land
Free markets born
Steam engines roar
Bacteria are damned

Yet happy endings did not come
For Peace did meet his match
Our soldiers died eternal deaths
As poppies fed off thistle and rose

An elected Caeser now sailed the sea
So soldiers bore war for liberty
In kilts they duelled, in kilts they died
For English Boys and Scottish Girls

Now blind men walked the earth
For the chasm was hard to see
The sick lay cared by Doctors
While The Doctor walked our screens

Welcome to this noble land
Sporting muggles born
Wizards soar
Mars bars are deeply fried

Yet the ghost of divorce comes creeping
Though not born in blood
He steals away our love
Twenty O’ Fourteen

Now Scotland you must choose
To keep or break your vows
I ask that you would stay
Leaving walls to histories’ town

So Salmond can you kid
If you think old Britain’s done
For though not born in love
The Union still is one.

The Wave

I’m in a wave
I’m in an all consuming wave
A wave born out of the chasm in Gods heart
It’s when my soul meets his, and then meets another

This is not a tame seaside wave
This is a cosmic, eternal invincible wave
It’s a wave that will carry on, till I’m dead in my bones
It’s a wave that will carry on, till time is buried in his grave

This wave is so powerful, it’s carrying me paralyzed
My heart cannot simply contain what this wave has put inside of me
The wave goes as far as I can see, and as far as I can see it’s pounding straight for me

This is wave that will have cataclysms on the being of time itself
It is an all consuming wave that leaves my heart breathless in amaze
You see this is a wave that has come over me since the day it began

A small wave at first, is now reaching land
Like a tsunami let it destroy all that it may reach
Like a hurricane may it destroy the foundations of alters on which our knees bow

This is a wave that echoes in the eternal history of time
It is a wave that comes from the sea of love
In all four forms of love

This is a wave that leads men to die
It is a wave that was born of blood
That has been moving through generations
Until its will would be done

This is the wave that will see all things come
It is the wave that creation has longed for in eager expectation
This is the wave that will bring captives from there chains

This is the wave that will bring a broken hurting world free from pain.
